I'm not particularly religious or spiritual, and I know that serenity prayer can seem a bit over-used in the recovery/AA world, but I have found myself drawing a lot of solace and strength from it:
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
