I don't think it's imperitive to have a HP - I think the point is that alcoholism is
soooo self-absorbing that you need to externalise. I am increasingly believing in "The Secret". Again, not a higher power but simply that you get what you believe you will. Works for me! Others want to call that "God". Works for them!
