SINCE I'VE BECOME SOBER, I'VE NOTICED THAT
I am actually handling my responsibilities in a timely manner - bills, cooking, cleaning, etc. (Plus I have more money to pay those bills!)
I can drive my vehicle. Without worry. And I don't have to ask my teenager to "take me to the store" because I can't drive.
I no longer see that it's almost closing time for the liquor store and run to the kitchen to check to see if I need to get said ride to go buy more because they'll be closed for 14 hours. Yeah.
My sense of smell is much better, my eyes look brighter, my skin is no longer "papery" looking from the alcohol dehydrating me, my face doesn't have that alcoholic puffy look.
