Hey Mike,

I immediately thought, "wow, this sounds like a divine plan to give you the free time you need to develop a solid recovery program." It's certainly what I did in early recovery.

Rather than filling my early recovery days with busy work, distractions, or anything to keep my mind occupied, I used the free time to get out into the world and meet sober people who changed my life and helped me to build a strong foundation for living in recovery, not just being busy and not drinking.

It might not seem like it, but this could be a real blessing - use this time to do the work on the inside and the outside work will fall into place.
