Pain can be a gift, but when you have constant pain for years and years, it's not a gift at all. It's a burden, Ask a man who's been beat over and over and ask him what he's learned. He's learned to hate the world, mistrust the world and at times, may be too far gone to care.

I'll take these pains to my grave with no lessons learned.
is also how I felt for decades. That the damage was too great. My pain and anger was too powerful.
Just in the last four years I've been able to move from being "too far gone to care," to transforming that suffering. Miracles I say.
