Hi, just wanted to give an update.
My life after leaving my addict has had its ups and downs only because I was so wrapped up in his addiction. BUT, life is good now. I have had an awakening. I have worked on myself and the reasons I chose to be with him and allow him to infect my life.
He truly is a sociopath but I have come to terms with my BAD decison and the blinders are off now and I feel FREE! I feel happy, peaceful and I LOVE myself now. There are so many other good people out there and life is way too short to waste time with trying to help someone that does not want help or who can't help himself!
I turn 40 today and I am SO very thankful that I had the strength to GET OUT of that relationship before I drowned. I almost did but all of you threw a hand out and I grabbed on for dear life. I am just feeling so thankful today and wanted to share. I owe it all to SR..I truly do! Everyone here has helped so much and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for saving my LIFE!
