I am now on day 4 - I haven't gone more than 4 days without alcohol of some description for about 13 years!
I had a nagging voice in the back of my mind that perhaps I had a problem, for years and years, but I always thought that alcoholics drank in the morning, so I must be okay. I started drinking in the morning a few months ago and STILL denied it, lol. So for the past few weeks instead of one bottle of wine each night, it has turned into 1-2 bottles of strong, fortified wine a day.
Worked out I was drinking double the daily unit allowance a day! Weird thing is, I have so far sailed through and had only very mild withdrawal, not sure why ???
I feel so glad of this site at the moment
