Another good one was 'Dry' by Augusten Burroughs.
He's the same guy who wrote 'Running With Scissors'. It's a decent account of flash-backs, and trying to do it alone. He's an alcoholic and ends up at one point in a relationship to a crack addict. He's also homosexual and that brings a different element into his past battles. He breaks his A.A. anonymity
but, I forgive him. ;-)
I've only been interested in non-fiction since sober. Weird.
