I'll echo what everyone else has already said...it's really hard for non-alcoholics to understand, especially if they're normal drinkers. I would encourage you to learn to live with the fact that your boyfriend might never completely understand what you're dealing with, and find outside sources (AA, SR board, etc.) for support. Nothing can compare to the support one alcoholic can provide for another.
