When meetings are a pain to get to...
...try climbing a mountain to get to one.
Went to an AA-style meeting with an outdoor recovery group, it was 2,000 feet of elevation gain in 2.5 miles. To top it off it was raining/snowing, windy and cold.
It was one of the most spiritual things I've done in my life.
Being up there when you're wet and almost frozen from hypothermia, in order to fellowship with other people in recovery, is powerful stuff.
It was a great meeting and I'm glad I did it.
