Hon, you only proved that you can't do this by yourself.
And for calling the hotline, simply ask for a woman.
Some towns, people will even meet you and take you TO the meeting.
IT's different in different towns, of course -
but *we* go to whatever lengths
to help someone get sober.
We have to
to keep OURSELVES sober.
So don't look at it that you are being a 'bother'
to any of us.
You're doing US the favor
of helping US stay sober another day.
