You'll get a lot of differying opinions on this - the important thing is how you feel about it. I'm not an AAer, but it seems reasonable to me if you feel at odds with your sponsor, you need to let her know and discuss it.
Whatever you ultimately decide...don't let this little brouhaha impede your progress
