Like this Fitness Thing....

It was so cool to read everyone's workout posts. Very uplifting for me. I too, did a good, solid workout today (albeit nothing like what I read here....no 1700 calories, but I'm proud of my 500). I'm new to sobriety, new to this group, and new to the AA journey. I'm scared, confused and find that exercise and keeping busy is best for me. I've been to AA meetings everyday for five days. Tonight my husband and I are going to a dinner party. Of course wine will be served. This will be my first outing since officially declaring sobriety. I will simply drink water. My husband is a wonderful support system. As a good friend in the AA program told me yesterday, "alcohol is only a beverage". I found this quite comforting....."only a beverage"....."only a beverage".
