I've always thought that would be the perfect fit for you. My son is a cert. drug & alcohol counselor. He now feels it isn't the right field for him - and I know why. He was never an addict. (Kind of like a monk or priest trying to be a marriage counselor?) I know your heart would be in it, and everyone would have so much respect for where you've been.
