I was in my friend's wedding in NY this weekend and made it through without a scratch! It was great. I hit a meeting up there and hung out with some other non-drinkers, but still got funky on the dance floor with the normies.
I prayed extra-hard and brought God with me, because he is the only thing bigger than alcohol. I had a wonderful time and felt great in the mornings
My brother's wedding is next weekend in Miami, and I have renewed faith that I can make it through this one too (can't get cocky though... all the accolades belong to God). Anyone live there? Want to meet at a meeting?
What a wonderful feeling to truly enjoy such a blessed day without drowning in booze. I am so grateful.
