Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

like you here in SR I havent found
it necessary to pick up a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90. A many
one days at a time collected to
get me where I am today, 19 yrs.

means....... Personal Recovery
Involves Deflating
Ego?
Pride is the basic breeder of most
human difficulties, the chief block
to true progress.
Pride lures us into making demands
upon ourselves or upon others
which cannot be met without perverting
or misusing our God-given instincts.
For so many years my life revolved
solely around myself. I was con-
umed with self in all forms - self-
centeredness, self pity, selfseek-
ing, all of which stemmed from
what?
PRIDE
Today I have been given the gift,
through the Fellowship of Alcoholics
Anonymous, of practicing the Steps
and Traditions in my daily life. To put
aside in all sitaution which arise in
my life.
Until I could honestly look at myself
and see that I was the problem in
many situations and react appropriately
inside and out; until I could discard
my expectations and understand
that my serenity was directly prop-
ortional to them, I could not experience
serenity and sound sobriety.
