Hypnosis & Pain-killer Addiction ????
I'm backed into a corner and just realizing that I'm addicted to hydrocodone painkillers.I'm seeing a psychologist/Dr. at the end of this month and am trying to learn everything I can about the process of admitting I have the problem & taking steps to beat it.
I've had some friends mention hypnosis as a possible tool in dealing with my addiction.I can't seem to find any first-person info in my searches on the web.Interested in every-one's thoughts &/or experience using hypnosis to break/treat hydrocodone/narcotic addictions?
Have any of you tried it or know anyone who did?
Was it effective in the long run?
Should it be included in any counseling undertaken?
Please post your thoughts/opinions on this subject,no matter how brief of detailed.
Even though I'm new to this site I really feel I've found a support group here.Real people that know first hand how to tackle this problem.
This site has so much info,it's almost overload to soak it all in.
