You can have alcohol withdrawal related seizures a month after quitting. It is not a typical reaction, but it is not unheard of. Generally, if you have medical help detoxing, you have a lower risk of seizures from alcoholic withdrawal because it is less of a shock to your system, but I think even then there's no guarantee. At least that's how I understand it from the doctors I've spoken with.
You should probably check with your GP. I'm not sure much can be done about it now, although a mild anti-convulsive might be prescribed.
