First of all, thankyou everyone here. I know I've been popping in and out of the forum for a while, but all you guys helped just as much as the kind folks at AA.
So, 50 days have gone by and I've abstained from a single drop of booze.
I have to say, I am THOUROUGHLY enjoying every minute. (I know I may still be on my 'pink cloud', but I can assure you it's been rough too)
I brought home my first motorcycle I've ever owned today, bought PURELY with the money saved by not spending it on alcohol. Obviously, it's a dirt bike, as I've no liscence right now, but there's a real sense of achievement here. For YEARS I'd dreamt of the moment when I'd finally have a motorcycle in the garage, and now it's finally here. This is also the longest time I've been sober in 8 years, and I have to say, I'm saying sorry a HELL of a lot less to people these days, in fact, people are saying sorry to me... it's kind of surreal!
Just so excited to finally have a bike, and to have made it 50 days without a drink.
