I want to add that he also needs to be honest at his appointment so they can adequately evaluate him. My abf goes to a psychiatric/addiction specialist, but isn't honest with him. Then I get the "But I AM getting help, I'm going to Dr. ______". He goes about once a month if that. He is helpful to him in many regards, but so far there has been no improvement in terms of addiction issues...
I don't know the rest of your story, but it sounds like he was on Suboxone before and it didn't work for him?
