Just from my own experience, it's always fun (seemingly) until it isn't anymore. I think we delude ourselves thinking that it's the chemical that greases our fun/good time wheels which in turn stokes our egos. The next day is the sad reminder.
I guess the only action you can do is find out for yourself.
