My only suggestion is to spend some time with you and discover what will bring peace to your life. There is absolutely nothing wrong in standing firm in what you believe and value. I also like plan "A". Your offer to stay was incredibly kind, and she thinks it may not be the best idea. So be it.
The choice and plan is her's to follow.
It may be a blessing to your Mom...I can't imagine opening my home to someone who has ill feelings towards me.
