Some of these are amusing but I really think they hurt us all and somehow open our eyes at the same time. I started the thread, but I didn't expect so many replies. It amazes me. I guess these phrases are a common part of addiction and recovery. I have heard many of these from my alcoholic family. Looking at these phrases helps me to realize the deciet in my family. It makes me ready to move on even more, with a little chuckle too.
