I believe that the progression the BB is referring to is the progression of alcoholism--from social drinkers to warning signs to early alcoholism to basic alcoholism to chronic alcoholism--where this progression takes less time in females than it does in males. I read a study in early recovery (somewhere around 1987) where it said that for males this progression was approximately 7-10 and for females approximately 3-5 years. All I could think of was .... there's womyn for ya; when we wanna get something done, we wanna do it right, and right now!!..... LOL
