They are made of the same material as pantyhose, not like a girdle at all.
The pair that I have goes from the top of my knees to the underwire of my bra.
I love them because they help with my "muffin top"...
You know that stuff that hangs over the top of your pants.... just under your bra

I hear they now make them for your arms.... they apparently help with the "wiggle" arms.
