New to the site
Hi,
My name is Steph and I'm new to this site. I am looking to expand my recovery. I have been in recovery since 2001, however I have relapsed 2 times (but never stopped going to meetings). I have 6 months clean. My anniversary is July 4th, 2008.
I have a home group, it's called "Keep it Real" on Thursday nights. I have a sponsor and am working the steps. Unfortunately, I'm back on step 1 since I relapsed in July. I'm not done beating myself up over this relapse, I don't know why. My sponsor is trying to help me through that.
I'm really shy and rarely share in meetings. I like to listen and learn, however, you can't keep what you have unless you give it away.
I am divorced and have a great 13 year old daughter!! She's the one thing in my life I can say I did right. She's pretty cool. She's been going to meetings with me since she was 5 years old. She likes going to meetings, I think one of the reasons is because she knows my friends are there and that meetings are my "medicine".
Well, time to get my daughter to bed. Thank you all for being here. I can't wait to hear your experience, strength and hope!
