Well it's Jan 4th here, and I have been sober for a whole month.
Firstly I have to thankyou guys from the bottom of my heart, you have been a wonderful support, and I have learned & been inspired so much by your posts and threads
Thankyou to the SR team who set this site up and keep it going, I never knew it existed until 1 day before I quit drinking, this site was the catalyst for change for me, I'd never been able to stop drinking at home before and I was terrified of going a long way from my family to a rehab. This site, with all it's support and information made it possible for me to do this from home, and stay with my lovely supportive husband and our girls.
Life is good, it still has it's ups and downs, but it's more like gentle rolling hills now compared to the old mountain peaks with their suffocating lack of oxygen and gaping craters so deep and dark you think you will never get out.
I hope everyone is having a happy day, and that your journey of recovery gets better and better for you all. :ghug
