This is a tough statement to make when you are feeling so happy about your AH's steps toward recovery but........
Remember that it is his recovery. Try not to hang your hopes on it. That puts a terrible burden on him and sets you up for disappointment. What do you do instead? Concentrate on you. You are the one thing in this life that you can control. Cherish his sobriety but make sure you are taking care of yourself.
