You might ask your doctor about a beta blocker for the anxiety. I take a tiny dose of tenomin and it keeps my heart from beating so fast. I feel much calmer. I've been on it for years with no problem due to mitral valve prolapse but I understand it's used for "stage fright" at times. It makes a world of difference for me.
