see your doctor if you think anything is wrong. Home detox can be dangerous.
Major props to you for choosing to quit. Your story is almost a perfect mirror of my own. We are so lucky that we've realized our problems at a young age... Can you imagine doing this at age 33, 43, 53?
And the mental "dullness" will fade. As I said, our stories are similiar: I'm also 23, I drank for 2-3 years in similar quantities. At six months sober I started to really notice my brain working again, and at nine months I feel almost none of that scary mental slowness.
