I think this place will help me and I hope to be of help to others here, as soon as my thinking clears up a little more. I know what I’m in for in the coming days. Been here before. Feeling hopeful.

I'm glad you found us! You are already helping others by joining our World Wide Family of Support. Just as the newcomer needs to hear messages of hope, those of us with a few 24 hours need to be reminded of what it's like for us if we go back out.

I imagine what you meant by knowing what you're in for in the coming days is in reference to the withdrawals and early days of Recovery. We'll be here for you during those tough days, just as we'll be here for you throughout your Journey on a road that you only dreamed of. Now, I'm still very young, (lol) I'm only 46, but I used for 32 years before I finally surrendered and found peace and serenity in Recovery in July of '05. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?
