Up here in Minnesota, we have a lot of large snapping turtles in the lakes, and some "leatherback's" (Softshell turtles). Not too great for pets. I love what you are doing though! One of my fantasy trips is to go to Costa Rica and see the great turtle migration to lay their eggs on the beach at midnight..
