Letting go, for me, was letting go of the illusion that I could control other people, their thoughts and their actions. It was letting go of the illusion that I could manipulate the outcome and control what tomorrow might bring.
None of these were ever mine to control in the first place, all illusions, and when I let go it didn't mean I stopped loving or caring, it meant that I found a more balanced place where I took responsibility for myself and my actions and left the rest to God and the universe.
