I've read a lot about interventions written by specialists who have conducted hundreds of them, and unless the alcoholic is already prepared to focus on his/her recovery, they don't work. If the alcoholic still has more drinking to do, it will be done no matter what.

I sense that you're looking for confirmation that there's still hope for your marriage. I may be wrong, but I caution you to be realistic.
