Well, again when you live with Dad who lets you do whatever you want, whenever you want and who doesn't see the need to live in the "real" world... there is plenty of time to sit around on and text message others. Why connect for real? It is frightening... but other than taking the phone away... which I did... but I am sure Dad will get him another, I don't know what else to do.
