I can understand the thing, but take a look at the focus. He was drunk and stupid. I was drunk and stupid, but I don't remember intentionally saying things like that. Forget about him and I would keep walking your dog as though nothing happened. I bet you that he doesn't even remember it and besides its your neighborhood too.
