Hi All - I hail from sunny San Diego, California! (I'm channeling Miss America). San Diego developed as a fishing/military town but now is a biotech/tourist mecca. We have everything here, beautiful beaches, deserts and mountains. It's a very laid back city and you can't beat the weather. (Although we're in the middle of "June Gloom" right now.) I live in an older neighborhood of historic Craftsman and Spanish Revival homes - very cool.
Funny comment about people asking if people from Colorado skied to school. I'm originally from Montreal, Canada and growing up in California I got three predicable comments when people found that out. 1) Do you speak French? (no); 2) Do people there live in igloos? (seriously!); and 3) Canada, eh?
