I found out more bad news....got a letter the day AFTER I wrecked, saying I'd forgotten to pay my car insurance and it was cancelled 5 days before the wreck. I've gotten it reinstated, but it says "effective 5/31".
So, looks like I have no car, $1800 still due on it, and no money to get a new one. It's not much of a defense, but I forgot to pay the bill because it was the week Randy had his stroke/surgery and all my other friends were struggling, and I was being a codie...in a funk about it all.
I'm able to drive stepmom's car to work right now, but don't know what I'm going to do. Insurance company took the claim, but they may turn it down.
All I DO know is I'm saying the serenity prayer a zillion times, and asking HP to just let me do whatever I need to do. I have to remind myself I've been through worse, and I'm grateful I'm clean, have people that love me, have a job...the list goes on
