You know when I got out of detox they told me "If you want a chance to stay sober you need to go to at least 90 AA meetings a day and get a sponsor." I kind of balked at that when I was doing my last session with my councilor, I told him "There is no way I can go to that many meetings, I work full time and I am married with kids" my councilor asked me if I would promise to just spend as much time going to meetings as I did drinking, he told me that if I put as much time and effort into my recovery as I did into drinking I would stay sober.
I was and remain willing to go to any length to stay sober.
