Day 5!

I'm on my fifth day! I was just going back and reading my posts from about a month ago, and I realize I already understand so much more about myself and this disease. I have progressed so much since then. I am having an easier time saying 'no', and I dont feel the need to throw out all my hard work with one slip up like I was doing in the beginning. And I'm not just dwelling on the fact that I'm sober and it's horrible, and I dont know what to with myself, and all that. Because it's really not. Not at all actually. It's freakin awesome. I'm finding alternative ways to pass the time being sober. Like this site for one thing, I love love love it. My daughter keeps me busy, and with this weather finally starting to warm up, we're actually able to get outside and enjoy some of it. Working a lot more is really helping me. Especially working late nights on the weekend. It makes not drinking simple! I have no reason to...all I wanna do when I get off work at 1 in the morning is get my butt home and into bed! I still really want to go the library soo sooo badly but I have $17 in fines and I cant afford to pay them. That's terrible. Libraries are supposed to be free, and I manage to rack up a bill there! Ha! I'll pay it one day, just gotta save up for our big bills that are due for right now. Well that's all really. Just wanted to share my progress.
