I'll start - went to the wrong wedding shower (the right one was in a different banquet hall across the street). It was Italian - no one spoke English. My friend and I speak no Italian, and only knew the bride - who wasn't there yet.
Ate for an hour, got a nice gift for coming and then realized we were at the wrong shower. When we tried to get our wrapped wedding gifts off the gift table, we were attacked by an Italian grandmother and barely got out of there alive...but we're "Stayin' Alive"
