Alcohol used to be the ONLY thing I could go to when I needed help. It 'fixed' me for a long time, even when I had been exposed to A.A.
So there I was, wanting help, buying it in a bottle...you know, my medicine that just stopped working for me.
I don't know if your friend was drinking or not, but if he was, chances are he wanted some help (even if it was the help that alcohol had to offer - insanity right?)
