Hmmm,
Most people who enjoy a beer or two and then just put it down and don't give it a second thought don't need AA.
I could neve have one or two and walk away and when I was not drinking I thought about it all of the time.
I find now, that being sober and free from the obsession to drink, even with my AA meetings, I have one heckofalot more time on my hands.
I am much happier too.
