well, so far they have saved his leg, but he lost 4 inches of bone in the accident and he has no knee. they will give him an artificial knee later. i'm so grateful that his life was spared, but he is in so much pain and they are very careful about giving him pain management because he is a recovering alcoholic (6 years sober).

he could still lose his leg, but they are prepared for it. they have pulled together so well during all this.......they just amaze me with their stamina and determination.
