I've been to two AA meetings thus far and found the experiences to be pleasant enough. The people were very welcoming. In the days since going I have read quite a bit about my affliction and have given it much thought. I don;t feel like AA is for me as "THE" solution. I definitely think it can be a tool. When I get in those moments where I am obsessing for a drink I will definitely get my butt to the soonest meeting possible. But otherwise I can't see myself getting past step 1 and I prefer educating myself about alcoholism.
