I remember the first time someone told me "Make a gratitude list". I scoffed (internally) I thought, what do I have to be grateful for? When I think now about the fact that I truly felt that I didn't have a thing to be grateful for, I cringe.
I had a beautiful son in good health and a family that still stood by me. I can't believe I ever took that for granted. It is truly a gift from the NA program that I have become able to be grateful.
