I'm getting it.....although my addict son has a huge piece of my heart.
He's 26 and sitting in jail again. This time I think he will be there for a few months. Not quite sure just yet. I don't take the collect calls from jail. He has caught on to that. I wrote him a letter and told him to borrow a stamp to write to me. I hadn't heard from him since February.
I send him money to the jail. He says his stomach growls because he is so hungry. So, he buys oatmeal and ramen noodles to fill him up..
This addiction heartbreaking drama has been going on for 12 years. I'm getting better with the enabling but, I still need to work on it.
I need help too from the alanon side.
