Windy is right about meetings being filled with court ordered people and a good place to find a new connection.
I have found a two ways to minimize this:
1) Go to the earliest meeting possible. I go to a 6:30am meeting. A lot less court ordered folks are up at that hour.
2) Go to closed meetings, there are zero or nearly zero court ordered folks at closed meetings.
My favorite meeting was at 6:30 AM and I don't do the 12 steps. However, I would get so much ESH off of the people that attended. It was a wonderful group of people that cared enough to be there and wanted to work the program.
