I started at 14 and continued for 27 years. Know that you're not alone, recovery is possible, sobriety is amazing, I'm glad you're here.
I still have my career, but I gave away a nice marriage, home, and family unit because I loved drinking more. We all have a different bottom, yours could be pretty high if you decide to stay sober, much better than losing everything that's important in your life.
Have you considered AA, tried any meetings? I never recognized my disease until I started going to AA meetings and seeing the similarities rather than the differences.
