The reason I ask this is because when my RAH was diagnosed with alcoholic liver disease, he told everyone (including me - who was at the dr.'s office while he was told the official diagnosis) that he only has a "fatty liver" and can still drink (which was not the case). Also, he has had our family GP and a few other "professionals" thinking he did not have an alcohol problem, that he was just "depressed" and drank heavily when depressed. As the alcoholism progressed, he could not fool anyone anymore, including himself. I wish you the best of luck with your husband.
